Primer registro de Remora osteochir (Cuvier, 1829) en aguas chilenas frente a Rapa Nui

Se presenta el primer registro de la rémora marlinera (Remora osteochir) en aguas de Rapa Nui, y el segundo confirmado para Chile. El ejemplar, depositado en el Museo Nacional de Historia Natural de Chile, fue colectado en noviembre de 1979 asociado a un marlín rayado (Kajikia audax). Su identificación se basó en caracteres diagnósticos obtenidos desde la literatura especializada, no mostrando mayores discrepancias con ejemplares registrados en otras localidades. Este hallazgo contribuye al conocimiento de la ictiofauna nacional y resalta la relevancia de las colecciones biológicas para documentar la biodiversidad.
