Abstract

Recent studies on Architectonicidae allow to describe two new species, one of them referred to a new subgenus which is here proposed. They are Architectonica Intitectonica) inti subgen. et sp. nov. and Architectonica (Discotectonica) navidadensis sp. nov. Hie samples were collected from two different fossiliferous outcrops, with a a different lithology too, both belonging to the Navidad Member of the Navidad Formation (Miocene) in the vicinity of Matanzas town of coastal central Chile. The associated invertebrate macrofauna and the stratigraphic profile for Architectonica (Discotectonica) navidadensis. sp. nov. it is also added.
