Abstract

The effect of different photoperiods on the free-rtinning activity of Akodon olivaceus brachiotis was studied. The phase-angle tends to be less positive when the photoperiod increases according to the "seasonal rule" for night active animals. Light: dark cycle is a principal synchronizer of the alternas two-peak activity of this rodent as shown by the displacement of the phase-angles, and the expression and position of the activity peaks.
