Reporting a new location of Myrceugenia colchaguensis (Myrtaceae) in the pre-andean hills of Maule Region, Chile

A previously undocumented population of approximately 100 individuals of Myrceugenia colchaguensis (Phil.) L.E. Navas has been recorded in the El Manzano locality, Teno County, Maule Region, Chile, in the foothills of the Andean Mountains. Given the species’ endangered status and the existence of only 10 previously known populations, this finding represents a significant contribution to understanding its geographic distribution and the characteristics of its preferred habitat and for its preservation
