Abstract

A new monospecific genus of Oecophoridae, Aidabella nov. gen., is described based on specimens collected in areas with sclerophyllous vegetation of central Chile. Diagnostic characters for the genus and species are given, and photographs of adult and illustrations of wing venation and structures of the genitalia are provided.
