Conservación de las Colecciones Bioantropológicas del Museo Nacional de Historia Natural (Santiago, Chile)

The aim of this paper is to present the conservation system of the bioanthropological collections of the National Museum of Natural History, which has been used since the early 80s.
This paper presents an overview of how the Bioanthropological collection was formed, how it is kept in the Institutions, its current condition and the increasing over the time, regarding issues such as origin, acquisition and conservation.
Based on this experience, proposals and suggestions are raised pointing out to an integrated management of these collections, from a museological point of view.
