Abstract

Liolaemus donosoi Ortiz, 1975, is a species with a complex taxonomic history. The original description lacks comparisons with related species and further works have proposed that it is a) indistinguishable from L. constanzae, b) it is a subspecies of it, or c) it is a full species. Herein I review the taxonomic history and morphological characteristics of L. donosoi, and concluded that it is a junior synonym of L. constanzae.
