Abstract

The finding of a Cnesterodon decemmaculatus (Jenyns 1842) specimen in the Maule river basin, specifically in the Machicura reservoir, is reported. This record extend its geographical distribution about 250 km thowards southern chilean waters. The caught specimen was a mature male. This work provides geographic and water quality information about the record, also meristics and morphometric information of the sample is provided.
