Abstract

We report the presence of three specimens of the genus Ara, from an archaeological collection from Chiu-Chiu, II Region, Chile, collected by Anibal Echeverria y Reyes in 1913. The evidence is unclear to determinate the temporo-spatial location, since it does not come from a systematic excavation, nevethe- less is possible that their presence is due to exchange human action, since these birds are tropical.
