Abstract

The presence of exotic freshwater mollusk Melanoides tuberculata (Müller, 1774) on the hot spring known as Cocha Resbaladero is reported, the place is located in the town of Pica (20°29'07"S; 69°19'02"W; WGS84) in the Region of Tarapaca. This species, originally from Asia and Eastern Africa, is now widely distributed, and in several places has been declared as invasive species.
