Abstract

The vascular flora of Concón dunes (32°54'S , 71°32'W) is composed by 159 species, 86% of which are native. The vegetation is segregated in four associations, two of which are new (Bahio ambrosioidis-Nolanetum crassulifoliae y Colletio hystrtcis-Schinetumpolygamae) and together with the Margyricarpo-Chorizanthetum vaginatae constitute the new alliance Carpobroto aequilatert-Baccharidion macraei within the order Saturejo-Puyetalia chilensis from the class Gutierrezio- Trichocereetea: the fourth association Poo-Ambrosietum chamissonis belongs to the class Ambrosietea chamissonis. The zonation of the associations follows the geomorphological pattern of the Concón dunes.
