Abstract

We studied the effect ofresource concentration upon the diversity of arthropods associated to flowers of Puya coerulea. We assessed the fauna at two scales of resource concentration: macro scale (floral densities) and micro scale (intact versus damaged flowers ). Abundance, species richness and equitability of arthropods were evaluated. The diversity of arthropods did not differ significantly between the two floral densities nor between the two floral states.
