Abstract

Calbuco n. gen., Calbuco obscurus n. sp. and Promecheilus similis n. sp. are described for Chile; the new entities inhabit humid environments of southern Chile, being found in areas of temperate rain forest. The new taxa are characterized and figures of the new species are given. With these additions the Chilean representation of Promecheilidae rises to five genera and thirteen species.
