Abstract

It was carried out the detailed morphological study of pollen grains of the six native species belonging to the Proteaceae family, coming from three different places. It was used optic and scanning microscopy, with the objective of evaluating the intraspecific variability and the differences between the three places. In order to concentrate the grains of current pollen it was used the methodology modified of Erdtman (1952). Thirteen variables were considered for the morphological study carried out. From the study it is concluded that differences exist at generic level, however, between the species the morphological differences are minor. In many species the differences between the three localities are significative.
