Abstract

A total of 248 species of molluscs belonging to 173 genera under 97 families and five classes were recorded for Easter Island. Families Cerithidae, Triphoridae y Eulimidae with 10 species each were the most dominant. Most of them are marine, and four species are terrestrial inhabiting under debris and stones above tide level.
