Abstract

We describe the finding of a specimen of Alsodes vanzolinii (Donoso-Barros, 1974) in the Nonguén National Reserve (Biobio Region, Chile), a location not documented to date. With this information, the geographical distribution is continued. This is relevant in the case of an amphibian in critical danger, whose populations closest to a protected wild area have been described for the surroundings of the Los Queules National Reserve (Tregualemu, Maule Region).
