Abstract

The first record of Diretmidac and Scombrolabracidae from Easter-South Pacific is communicated. The former with Diretmus argenteus Johnson, 1863 captured off Coquimbo (29° 57' S; 71° 25' W) and the latter with Scombrolabrax heterolepis Roule, 1922 captured off Easter Island (28° 03' S; 108° 50' W). New data and an extention of the north limits range to off Llenihuenu island (440 01' S; 75° 16' W) of the carapid Echiodon cryomargarites Markle, Williams and Olney, 1983isgiven, previously was known only off Otway Island (53° 13' S; 75° 41' W), in Chile.
