Liolaemus hermani n. sp. de Iguanidae de la zona central de Chile

Abstract

A new species of Iguanidae genus Liolaemus (L. hernani n. sp.) is described from the locality Bajos de Colón (near the city of Rancagua), in the occidental slope of the andean range in Chile. The species is distinctive by its morphological characters, color pattern and chromosomes. Information about biology of L. hernani n. sp. is given.
