Contenidos gástricos en Genypterus maculatus (Tschudi) y Genypterus blacodes (Schneider) capturados en Chile entre 31° y 37° S. (Teleostomi, Ophidiidae)

Abstract

The gastric contents analysis from Genypterus maculatus (Tschudi) and Genypterus blacodes (Schneider captured of Chile between 31° and 37° S, at june 1979 are given. Some items are common in both species: Pterygosquilla armata (H. Milne Edwards), Pleuroncodes monodon (H. Milne Edwards) and Cervimunida johni Porter, but the incidence of them are biggest for Genypterus maculatus. G. blacodes eat abundant Heterocarpus reedi B ahamonde and Coelorhynchus fasciatus (Günther), items which are exclusive for them. For G. maculatus are exclusive Euphausia mucronata and Mursia gaudichaudi H. Milne Edwards, but they are occasionals only. G. maculatus shows preference by Pterygosquilla armata, and G. blacodes shows a preferencial dicta shared between Pterygosquilla and Coelorhynchus.
