Abstract

The association of specimens of this family with moss is confirmed. Habitus and important external and internal structures are illustrated. Characteristics that differentiate this taxon from those previously described for the country are highlighted. New collection data are provided for Microchaetes paulusi Solervicens and M. araucanus Solervicens that extend their distribution and a key for determining the Chilean species of the genus is included.
