Abstract

Lebucarcinus nov. genus is proposed for a Decapoda, Brachyura species from the Chilean Miocene; this species was formerly described under the genus Cancer. Cancer tyro Philippi, 1887 is indicated as the type species of the new genus and Neotype is designed for the Philippi's species.
