Abstract

A new species of Tanaidacea, Apseudes fagettii is described from material obtained in Cumberland Bay (33° 37' 20" S; 78 49' 30" W) Juan Fernandez Islands by the Marchile ix Expedition, May-June 1973. It is the second record of Apseudidae from Chile and the first one from Juan Fernandez Islands.
