Abstract

Detailed information on the damage at the cranial and mandibular level of a juvenile female Mesoplodon grayi stranded during de year 2018 on Guanaqueros, Coquimbo Region, is provided. The possible origin of the fractures is discussed. In addition, the existing evidence of intra and interspecific aggressive behaviours for other cetacean species in different parts of the planet is contrasted, which would allow inferences about the lesions discovered in the specimen studied.
