Abstract

Liolaemus confusus is an endemic species to the O'Higgins
Region, Chile, discovered and recorded only in its type location: Los Robles hills, Lolol city, with a
distributional extension estimated in only 5 km², which was determinant to classified it as Critically
Endangered conservation status. Here we describe a new record for this species, which allows us to
extend the distribution range on 20 kilometers from the type locality, towards Santa Cruz city, and
update their extension (37 km²) and occupation (11 km²) area.
