Abstract

Six stranding events of big cetaceans are reponed, all of which were recorded by specialized teams. Events were found between V (Val paraíso) and XII (Magallanes) Administrative Regions of Chile, and two genera were involved, Physeter and Balaenoptera. This note also discusses the access to the biologic material, its management and catalogue.
