A key for identification of cetacean species from the South East Pacific (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile) is presented. Based on descriptions of cranial structures, the key allows identification at the suborder, family, genus and species level, even from incomplete specimens. This article is aimed to provide the increasing number researchers with tools to encourage cetacean studies in the region.
